Rolfing is a wonderful way to balance the body, remove restrictions in our soft tissue and align ourselves with the gravitational field in a way that leaves us feeling more energy, more flexible, and alive. This is an extrinsic form of healthcare, whereby the practitioner assists you along in the process of moving toward balance.

An intrinsic approach to healthcare has far more reaching effects, as it works from the inside out and is followed as a discipline. I recommend to all my clients that they begin a Yoga practice to complement their Rolfing work and continue to build upon the results that they have achieved. This is what I do to maintain my own body, and what I find works. We are very fortunate to have Sam Dworkis, one of the country's top Yoga teachers here locally. I’ve been studying with Sam since 2001 and I feel his unique approach to yoga is special. I recommend Sam’s work to all of my clients.

Osteopathic Treatment

The Institute for Non-Surgical Orthopedics specializes in osteopathic manipulative medicine and treatment, a great complement to Rolfing. OMM is a medical treatment modality for muscular and skeletal dysfunction, and as a holistic discipline looks at the patient as a person, rather than a symptom to treat.
